Erik and I decided to start taking little day trips around Utah and Idaho to spots that we have never been to before. Saturday was Military Appreciation Day in Utah so veterans were able to get into state parks for free. Win Win!!! We decided to go to Antelope Island. It was an awesome day!!! There were hardly any people and we got to spend the day together - couldn't ask for better.
View driving on the causeway.
Memorial flag they had for military personnel that had died on a training mission that crashed into the Great Salt Lake.
Beach looking north.
Best travel companions ever!!!
Buffalo Statue
Mule deer
View of causeway coming into the island.
HUGE spiders right by entrance into the visitors center.
Gizmo's mode of transportation. We had to drug him in order to bring him. He can't walk very well so we decided to carry him around. Worked great!
The buffalo were huge!
Cool looking rock formation.
Sheep camp trailer on the ranch.
Selfie!
Proof that we had to drug our baby. He was so out of it.
Sheep sheering barn at the ranch.
Looking west - Salt Lake - A Place No One Wanted (until they kicked the mormons off the island)
Another buffalo statue
Gizmo has such a sweet tooth AND he is so spoiled!!!
GREAT MEMORIES!!!!
