Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

On the way to Sarajevo, we stopped in Mostar.  We absolutely LOVED this little town.  It was one of our favorite to visit.  They had the cutest little shops and there were not very many people.  Most impressive was the bridge there.

Entering old town.  Your feet get massaged with these river rocks.

Very cool pattern.

Shops lining the streets.

There were some cool things for sale.

Three of some of my favorite people.

The river was the prettiest color.

The bridge was slick from so many people walking over it over time.  There were slats to keep people from falling down.  It was kind of hard to walk on.

See how worn down they were.

The famous bridge.

You can't tell how high this bridge but it's really high above the water.  People jump off the bridge into the water in the summer.

A mosque

Call to prayer

These building have ivy growing all over them.  They are probably so beautiful when there is greenery on them.

Typical of buildings no longer used.  They are gutted out and just left to rot.

Bullet riddled buildings.
