August was a great month.  Lots of things to do!  Here's to a great September!!!!

Goals

I have been contemplating my weight loss the past week and I realized that I am not doing too well.  Yes, I have ran 4 5ks this summer and I plan to run 2 more, but I have not lost any weight.  In fact, I have gained about 20 pounds since Erik and I went to Las Vegas a couple years ago.  I have three goals for the coming year....

1.  Lose 60 pounds
2.  Get in bikini shape by vacation to Virginia Beach next June
3.  Run a half marathon

Here's crossing my fingers that I accomplish all three!

August Wreath

So lately have been really into crafting.  I decided to attempt a wreath for every month.  This is my second one and I love it.  It was so easy.  I am now looking forward to doing one for September.

Running

Well, I had to post this today.  I have been getting up every morning and running 3 miles.  Last week I ran 6 out of 7 days.  (I was so proud of myself!)  Today running, I actually ran my fastest morning time, 34 minutes! It about killed me but I did it.  I have so enjoyed my morning runs.  Smithfield is a beautiful city and I love enjoying everything as I run.  My favorite thing is looking at the temple as I run down 100 east and approach 400 south.  There is such a pretty view of the temple from here.  The next run is July 4th, then Logan's 24th, trying to find one for August, and Chad and I are planning on Top of Utah 5k (anyone else who wants to join us is more than welcome).  I am trying to run one every month until it's too cold.  See how it goes.

Patriotic House

So we have a couple new additions to our house.  Erik and I purchased a flag and now it is flying proudly at our house.  I made the wreath below that will soon hang on our door.

1st Annual Taylor Family Fun Run/Day

It was a beautiful day....although it was HOT!

Wyatt coming across the finish line first....on his bike.
These three little boys did awesome!
Wyatt crossing the finish line again...this time running.
 Such a little cutie!
The boys cheering on Grace....let's go Gracie!!!
Chloe and Halle know how to finish in style!
They were so cute with their huge smiles!
Mom finishing her mile.  We kept thinking that dad decided to walk further and meet us at the silos.  Come to find out he was walking along the pipe to the right of the picture.  He wanted to see if he could still do it....he used to do it all the time as a little kid.  Guess what, he still has it.  He walked to whole way back on top and didn't even fall off.  Way to go dad!!!!
Only thing he encountered was a tree....
Brian and Wendi finishing strong.  Wendi wanted to make it in under 37 minutes and she did....WAY TO GO WEN!!!
Me and Chad finishing.  It was so hot and Chad had a cold so we walked about half of the 5k.  That's okay because I had a great talk with my little bro.
Melanie, Hannah and Gracie finishing the race.
Colby crossing the finish line.  He ran the mile with the kids and then ran the 5k+ with Mel.
Funny story about the next two pictures.  We were sitting under the tree talking with Colby comes out and says something to the effect of not knowing women's fashion but he was sure that swimsuits were not supposed to look like this.  Cute as ever little Halle comes around the tree with her swimsuit on backwards.  Everyone got a good laugh and she was kind of embarrassed.  She is sure a little cutie and I love her to pieces!

Cute little Hannah Banana...can't believe she is almost 1!
 Random shot throughout the afternoon.
